Los Artistas del Barrio Buffalo is proud to be a collaborative partner in this far-reaching community project under the leadership of Celeste Lawson. Below is an abstract of the project, which will be a testament to how the arts can heal the spirits, minds and hearts of those who have been victims of sex trafficking and other kinds of violence against women and children. “Typography Of Women: I Am Not Invisible project is a three-part project that includes a live stage performance, a public discussion and forum and an art exhibit themed around human trafficking and each individual artists’ own interpretation of that theme and what it means to them at any point in time.

The stage performance takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2020 in Rockwell Hall Performing Arts Center, the public forum on Sunday, March 22, 2020 in the Burchfield Penny Museum.

The art exhibit that will display Los Artistas Del Barrio Buffalo’s artworks will open on Friday, March 6 and run until March 27 at CEPA Gallery located at 617 Main Street. An opening reception will be held at CEPA Friday, March 6 from 5:30 PM -9:00 PM in their Underground Gallery.
