received his Ph.D from the Department of Social Foundations, SUNYAB, is a specialist in ethnographic data collection teaching Latinx Studies since 1981, he has been an instructor in Transnational Studies/Latinx Studies. His work explores the identity formation and experiences of immigrants and refugees to the United States and has published on issues of Latin America, the Caribbean and Asia. Art was it. Except, she felt she knew very little about the scope of what art could be. What she did know was that she loved music and dance. That was it. It has been a journey of learning throughout the years, where Diana has enjoyed learning about the different forms and genres of art; especially those shared with her Michele Agosto, her niece and co-founder of Los Artistas del Barrio Buffalo. Diana now enjoys all types of art mediums and events, frequenting those in the New York Metropolitan area as much as possible. Diana especially enjoys those with a cultural focus. Diana is a New York City native raised in Washington Heights, born in The Bronx, and working in The Bronx. I have lived in North Jersey for half of my life. Yolanda, of Puerto Rican roots, was born and raised in Rochester, NY. Yolanda was the founder of the Fisher-Price Diversity Team. Yolanda was also Co-President of “Unidos en Mattel”, part of the company Employee Resource Group. Yolanda has been part of the Puerto Rican and Hispanic Day Parade of WNY Organization since 2009 and was elected as the first female President of the organization in 2015. As an active member, Yolanda has served as Public Relations Chair and Vice President to the board. In early 2019, Yolanda was chosen as one of 40 Most Interesting Women to Know in Western New York and featured in the book “City of Good Neighbors”. Yolanda has two beautiful children, Emilia Miranda Rodriguez and Alejandro E. Rodriguez. Profoundly driven and a perfectionist by nature, Yolanda is committed to her family, job, and community. Sergio moved to Buffalo, NY in 2004 and lead various kitchens as head chef in restaurants throughout Buffalo from 2007 to 2017. He has run his own catering business since 2020 and specializes in fine dining wine tastings as well as fusion cuisine. She began her academic journey with an Associate Degree in Secretarial Sciences from Inter-American University. Upon arriving in Buffalo, she faced the challenge of learning English and enrolled in the English as a Second Language program at Erie Community College. Her professional journey began at the University at Buffalo, where she worked as a bilingual typist for 1.5 years. This initial experience sparked her interest in the field of education. She transitioned to the Buffalo Public School system as a clerk typist for 4.5 years while continuing her studies. Her commitment to lifelong learning led her to earn her Bachelor’s in Puerto Rican Studies and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with a Bilingual Extension from the University at Buffalo. Wilda went on to serve Buffalo’s children and families for 30 years in various impactful roles, including Elementary Education Teacher, Spanish Language Arts Support Teacher, and Language Assessment Coordinator. She retired from the Buffalo Public Schools in 2022, leaving a remarkable legacy of service and dedication. Since 1990, Wilda has been an active member of the New York State Association for Bilingual Education (NYSABE). Her leadership roles within the organization have included Spanish Delegate, Registration Chair, four-time Conference Chair, First Vice President, and President (2007–2008). In every role, she has tirelessly advocated for excellence and equity in education for English Language Learners (ELLs) and Multilingual Learners (MLLs) across New York State. In addition to her work in education, Wilda is a passionate community leader and cultural advocate. She is one of the founding members of the Hispanic Heritage Council of Western New York, Inc., an organization devoted to fostering awareness, appreciation, and celebration of the Hispanic community’s rich cultural contributions. Wilda is one of the founding members of the American Legion Auxiliary Gabriel A. Rodríguez Unit 1928, where she honors and supports veterans and their families. She was their president from 2021 until March of 2026 and currently serves as a Secretary on the Executive Board. Wilda is the proud wife of Richard Morales, a United States Army Combat Veteran, who served in the Gulf War/Desert Storm. Richard is also in the Color Guard, and he is also the Historian for the Gabriel A. Rodríguez Post 1928. She is a loving mother of three children and six grandchildren. Wilda life’s work reflects a profound dedication to service, education, culture, and community. William is the founder of Creative Zenith and creator of the graphic novels and comic books that celebrate Puerto Rican superheroes, all of which are developed and illustrated by William. William also enjoys other artistic outlets that include Graphic Design, Painting, Deejaying, and Music. Currently, William is LADB’s primary graphic designer, creating the logo for LADB Buffalo, which is adorned on all of our marketing products, such as T-shirts, buttons, and posters. William is a co-founder of Los Artistas delBarrio Buffalo.
